Cocktails at Cannonball with The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2024

We are thrilled to be hosting our new Cocktails at Cannonball Package with The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2024
Dine within one of Edinburgh’s historic places. Dating back to the 17th century, Cannonball House welcomes you for a dining experience whereafter we escort you out on to the Esplanade.

Monday to Friday: 7:15pm for the 9:30pm performance

Friday 18 August and Saturdays: 4:15pm for the 6:15pm performance


Enjoy a delectable and informal Scottish dining experience in Cannonball House Restaurant’s bar. During a light dinner, guests will be treated to three specially crafted drinks and a brief recital from members of the cast before being escorted to the Castle Esplanade, a short distance away.

  • Informal dining experience, consisting of 3 Scottish mini bowl
  • Three drinks two specially mixed alcohol-based cocktails and one non-alcoholic beverage – non-alcoholic alternatives are available
  • A bespoke recital by members of the Tattoo cast
  • A dedicated host to escort you to the Castle Esplanade
  • The official Tattoo Souvenir Show Programme

Please note, whilst there is no dress code for this package, we ask that you respect your host and fellow guests and dress accordingly, i.e. smart casual, avoiding short trousers and sports shoes. As you are sitting in the outdoor arena for the Tattoo performance, a warm top layer or coat is recommended.

This is a mixed dining experience and guests will be seated at shared tables for dinner.

SAMPLE MENU

 

Cannonball Gin cocktail, Edinburgh Gins navy strength Cannonball gin served with Bon Accord tonic and a slice of grapefruit. A classic G&T to refresh the pallet.

Paired with:

Steelhead Hot smoked trout, with cos leaves, Katy Roger’s creme fraiche dressing, crispy drumstick croutons and Amalfi lemon

Glengoyne sour cocktail, Glengoyne 10-year-old whisky shaken with lemon juice and a little sugar syrup served over ice.

Paired with:

Findlay’s of Portobello Haggis Cannonballs with an Uncle Roy’s hot cream and parsley sauce.

Warm mulled apple and spice cocktail, a warming non-alcoholic cocktail.

Paired with:

Isle of Mull cheddar, Kitchen Garden honey, candied walnuts and dried apricots

All alcoholic drink options can be substituted for a non-alcoholic alternative.
