History of Porridge – The perfect start to 24 hours at Edinburgh Festival

19 August 2015

#24HoursInEdinburgh

We were delighted when we received this request from BBC journalist Becca Bryers:

“I’m producing a series of material for BBC radio and online around spending “24 hours in Edinburgh”. It’s a quirky idea around me physically trying to stay awake for a full day, while reflecting the sheer diversity of cultural offerings in the city during the August festivals! I’d love to include History of Porridge in my coverage.”

Becca’s plan was to showcase Edinburgh as somewhere that joins New York as a ‘City that never sleeps!’ Perfect start (well second show)  for Becca to the day we thought! Becca really enjoyed Carina’s lively History of Porridge show at 9am at the beginning of her Festival day.  Find out about her full day by listening to her radio package here or the BBC News online piece here.
