Edinburgh Food Social


During lockdown we worked with Steve at Edinburgh Food Social providing surplus produce from the Kitchen Garden.

We’re delighted to support them again by offering a 3-month apprenticeship to a young person keen to pursue a career in the industry. It’s great to be working as part of the Cooks Alliance network and the Slow Food family in Edinburgh, nurturing the next generation of cooks and chefs.

This is as part of their “Good Food Apprenticeship” – an employability programme giving young people the skills and understanding to create a career for themselves in the food industry. We are so excited to hopefully inspire young people and offer a supported and respected career path into the hospitality industry.

It’s so encouraging to be able to work with our wider community despite the pandemic and we are only able to do this because of all the support you give us in the restaurant. Thank you.
