We’re delighted to announce that for this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival, we’re partnering up with the renowned Glengoyne Whisky Distillery to bring whisky fans something truly spectacular.

‘Unhurried – Glengoyne’s Inefficient Tradition’ is an entertaining and interactive single malt experience – featuring an exclusive taste of Scotland’s best gastronomy from inside Cannonball’s Glengoyne Room.

Hosted by Fringe veteran, ex BBC Broadcaster and Comedy Writer, Gordon Dallas, the show uses cutting edge Projection Mapping technology to take you on an immersive journey, exploring the almost absurd lengths and apparent inefficient traditions Glengoyne dedicates itself to, all in the name of incredible whisky.

You’ll also get the opportunity to taste the flavoursome results of these illogical actions in three distinct drams of Glengoyne. Each of which have been paired with delicious food tasters.

Join us every afternoon during the Edinburgh Fringe festival from 3pm to 6pm for the finest in acoustic live music.

In the Contini George St “Live Lounge” we will be featuring an eclectic mix of genres from some of the country’s top musicians.

Whether it be the chilled sounds of singer/songwriter Kirsten Adamson, the laid back acoustic grooves of George Murray, the “authentic guid folk” of The Cognac Twins or the relaxed, popular covers of Mixtape, with many other artists to be announced you are guaranteed an afternoon of beautiful music to set you up for your busy Fringe evenings.

So please join us for the very best of Scottish hospitality with fantastic Italian food and drinks every day during the Fringe. Note – this event is FREE and space will be limited so please book ahead to guarantee a table.

PIANO AFTERNOON TEA at
THE SCOTTISH CAFE & RESTAURANT

Experience authentic light jazz from our in-house pianist, while enjoying our traditional afternoon tea. Steve’s easy listening style creates the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing afternoon in one of Edinburgh’s most iconic buildings.

Playing a selection of well known Jazz standards and some of the most popular music from the 60’s/70’s/80’s including artists such as Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie and the Eagles, to name a few.”

Located at the Half Price Fringe Hut on the Mound it is the prefect pit stop for a catch up with locally brewed refreshments and bar snacks.

Join us every day throughout the Fringe for Edinburgh Gin cocktails, Draught beers, Thistly Cross Cider, Menabrea to name a few, served with a fab selection of bar snacks.
