We’re brimming of excitement this week as the newest addition to the Victor & Carina Contini family gets ready for her big moment. Perched at the top of one of Edinburgh’s oldest and most historic buildings, and at the head of the Royal Mile itself is Cannonball, our destination restaurant in the heart of the old town. With breathtaking views of our beautiful city, the Castle and beyond we are thrilled to be able to welcome our guests into a truly unique space. This weekend we officially open our doors to friends old and new and are proud to be showcasing the finest ingredients from Scotland’s bountiful larder alongside handpicked Italian produce fresh from the markets of Milan. Our menu is utterly mouthwatering and features Macaroni cheese with lobster thermidor sauce, Savoury warm crowdie and mascarpone cheesecake and Chargrilled venison with Scottish Kitchen Garden black currants and Scottish girolle mushrooms. Our wine list has been personally curated by Victor and our home made gelati are the perfect delicious finale to a feast of flavours. We will be open for lunch and dinner on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and from 10am until 8pm on Sundays for brunch, Sunday roast, high tea and supper.
We look forward to seeing you often over the coming months as we become properly acquainted with our new home from home. It is so exciting to be taking this next step on our fantastic Contini journey and we’re delighted that so many of our friends will be traveling with us.
