New trends and old favourites

You may have noticed that there are some changes happening at Contini George Street. It’s a very exciting, and busy, time for Victor and I as our ‘baby’ undergoes a massive transformation.

Over the next ten days, a whole new Contini George Street will be revealed – a new look, a new menu, but plenty of the ‘old favourites’ left to love.

So why the change? Well, we know that we have to evolve and move with the times. Eating trends have changed dramatically in the past few years. When we opened our doors in 2004, the culture of an individual starter, main and dessert was very much still the fashion when eating in a restaurant. Nowadays, that kind of very formal dining experience is not the norm. Most people now want a relaxed, less formal approach to food and drink.

Our guests are still looking for great tastes and flavours, and that’s what they’ll continue to get. But now we’ll encourage them to share: ordering lots of little plates of delicious food, with some new and interesting dishes alongside some familiar favourites to make them feel really at home. All dishes will be prepared to order and served to the table when ready, letting the conversation and meal flow naturally, with lots of new things to try.

With a fresh new menu and a gorgeous new interior – plus some exciting new changes to the drinks menus – we can’t wait to unveil the new and improved Contini George Street. And, don’t worry, what’s at the heart of our business will never change: a commitment to using only the best ingredients, and giving our customers the best possible experience, with authentic Scottish/Italian hospitality.

We hope to welcome you soon!

Best wishes,

Carina
