Contini Dining Guidelines

This is a self certified accreditation that supports businesses in actioning the best practice and gives consumers confidence to dine out. All Venues Dining Guidelines

Covid is still with us so as a restaurant business we plan to continue some protocols to ensure we keep mindful of our customers, our team, our suppliers and our families health and wellbeing.

We’re delighted to confirm that we have been approved for the government’s hospitality accreditation scheme “WE’RE GOOD TO GO”. This is a self certified accreditation that supports businesses in actioning the best practice and gives consumers confidence to dine out.

CREDIT CARD DETAILS
In order to secure your booking for lunch and dinner at Contini George Street and Cannonball we will ask for your credit card details. These will be stored securely. You can cancel your booking at any time before 11am on the day of the booking (9am for breakfast bookings). If you wish to cancel after this time you will be charged £25 per cover as a cancellation fee. Please note, no amount is debited from your card on booking, it is simply held for security purposes.

FACIAL COVERINGS
Please wear a face covering, as per government guidelines, apart from when seated (including when entering, exiting and moving around).

PAYMENT
We continue to offer contact less payment or payment by PIN. When you wish to pay please stay at your table and our team will bring the bill to you. PDQ machines will be sanitised after each use. Whenever possible we would prefer you use card payment rather than cash to support our team’s health and wellbeing.

Please note when booking afternoon tea at The Scottish Cafe, full payment will be taken.

CONTINI GEORGE STREET TABLE SIZES
Our largest single table can accommodate 8 guests.

Larger parties will be allocated several tables and where possible we will ensure they are located next to each other and will be treated as separate tables for ordering purposes.

Any larger group can be booked via Resdiary but will be subject to the general restaurant allocation and we can not guarantee the tables will be near each other and each table will be treated as a separate table for ordering purposes.

THE SCOTTISH CAFE & RESTAURANT
Our largest single table can accommodate 8 guests.

Larger parties will be allocated several tables and where possible we will ensure they are located next to each other and will be treated as separate tables for ordering purposes.

CANNONBALL RESTAURANT & BAR
Our largest single a la carte table is for 5 guests. Anything over that will be offered the tasting menu.

Larger parties will be allocated several tables and where possible we will ensure they are located next to each other and will be treated as separate tables for ordering purposes.

Our Private Dining Rooms can be booked online for groups of 8 – 40 guests.

  1. GDPR
    All booking details are held on our Resdiary system. Your data will not be used for any other purpose.
  2. OUTSIDE SEATING
    We do not take reservations for our outside tables as we can not guarantee the weather.
    When you arrive at the restaurant our team will direct you to a table when it becomes available. Please note if it rains we can not guarantee you a table inside, it will be subject to availability.
  3. VENTILATION
    At all venues we have upgraded our natural air ventilation system to support better natural air flow.
  4. LIMITED COVERS
    We have reduced the number of covers in the restaurant based on social distancing guidelines. For the time being, and to ensure continued good practice we are maintaining the same number of restricted covers.
  5. HAND SANITISERS
    Electronic alcohol based hand sanitising gel is available at the entrances to the venue and throughout the venue. Please use it at your leisure.
  6. ORDERING & MENUS
    We change our menus monthly. Please note that any menus displayed online are sample only.
  7. COATS & BAGS
    We will not be able to accept your coats or bags but will ensure there is space at your table for these.
  8. TABLE TIMES
    We have structured our menus so you will be able to enjoy a leisurely experience and not feel rushed. Table return times are shared with all bookings on confirmation inorder to efficiently run the venue.
  9. GRATUITIES
    An optional 10% gratuity has been added to your bill and goes directly to our team and is distributed through the Tronc system via PAYE. Victor and Carina do not benefit from any tips.
  10. OUR TEAM
    We have all adjusted to Covid differently, please be patient with our team as they continue to work with Covid despite a relaxation of the regulations. All protocols are followed should any of our team show symptoms of Covid.
  11. OUR SUPPLIERS
    We have completed and reviewed our Covid-19 risk assessment and have rigorous procedures for all our suppliers.
  12. DOGS
    Your dogs are welcome on our terraces at Contini George Street, The Scottish Cafe and Cannonball House which open on 1 April 2022.
  13. DINING WITH YOUR BEST FRIEND
    You are welcome to bring your dog to dine with us at Cannonball Bar, please book in advance. The restaurant menu will be made available for you in the bar. Please book on line.
  14. COMPLAINTS
    We always welcome feedback. If there is any part of your dining experience you feel does not meet your expectations please let us know at the time and we will do our very best to rectify the matter immediately. We are sorry but we will not be able to resolve any complaints after you have left our venues. Any feedback is welcome and you can email hello@contini.com
