Celebrating Year of Food & Drink Scotland 2015

At The Scottish Cafe & Restaurant we are so proud to celebrate our local artisan suppliers every single day of the year. This year-Year of Food & Drink Scotland 2015 – is no different, and we are excited to be partnering with our friends at The National Galleries of Scotland to link our artisan produce with our artists, Carina explains:

“When we opened in 2009 we had a very clear vision to showcase the best artisan suppliers. We now list well over 70 artisan producers and suppliers deliver direct to us from the length and breadth of Scotland. So as part of our celebrations to mark the Year of Food and Drink, 2015, we’re working with the National Galleries of Scotland to showcase key paintings from the Scottish National Gallery collection linked to food. Each season, we’ll select one of our favourite recipes using the produce depicted to share with you.”
