We always wanted to grow our own produce for the restaurants. In 2012 the opportunity arose to make that happen and we jumped! We moved a little out of town to give the children some more space – and we gained a one-acre garden site in the heart of the Esk Valley Conservation area.
With the help of our dear friend Mr Apple (Graham Stoddart at Cuddybridge) and Chrsitina our Head Gardener (who followed in the footsteps of Erica and Kerry our two previous Head Gardeners who came to us as a student working at the Edinburgh Royal Botanic Gardens), we’re now well embarked on bringing a dream to life and we grow our own produce for The Scottish Cafe & Restaurant, Contini Ristorante and Cannonball Restaurant & Bar.
